handcrafted furniture, kitchens & baths

look what's new!

Fineartistmade is the husband and wife design/build team of Patrick Mealey and Joyce Jackson - both working artists based in Down East, Maine who create seamless period kitchens and baths by preserving historic fabric and using the home's original details as inspiration.  We also specialize in window, door and general restoration.

After many years restoring homes in the Hamptons - we made a move to a farm established in 1820 that overlooks Boyden Lake. Our restored home has been featured in the HGTV show, If Walls Could Talk, Old-House Interiors magazine and this June in Down East magazine.

Visit our press page to see blog mentions and articles featuring our designs. In 2015, Joyce was tapped by the editor of the restoration magazine, Old House Journal, to write a feature article, A Preservation Tale about a perfectly preserved 1881 Victorian farmhouse on Long Island, New York.

Greater Portland Landmarks has included fineartistmade in their 2017 Northern New England Preservation Directory. The directory includes experts who focus on historic preservation which is an invaluable resource for homeowners restoring historic properties.

In 2009, we launched a furniture collection, The Tradition of the New - unique designs - a synthesis of folk art, antiques and contemporary living. In 2012, we were honored that our Mill Cove table was named Editors' Choice in Down East magazine's 58th annual 'Best of Maine' issue.
